The roads are covered with ice, the docks are covered, and the boats are covered - however, of even greater concern is the amount of snow buildup on the roofs of covered marinas. The finger piers of many covered marinas are now nearly submerged and it wouldn't take much more snow for collapses to occur!
The managers of the covered marinas in the area are starting to look at the alternatives - ranging from shoveling portions of the roof (very dangerous) to moving boats and letting nature take its course. The next few days will be very critical...
