Marine Google Mashup...

For those of you Google fans out in cyber space, there is a great new Google mashup which combines photos with NOAA marine charts.

In web development, a mashup is a Web application that combines data from more than one source into a single integrated tool. The term Mashup implies easy, fast integration, frequently done by access to various data sources to produce results that were not the original goal of the data owners.

The attached NOAA marine chart mashup is an example of using data from Google Maps to marine navigation charts, thereby creating a new and distinct web service that was not originally provided by either source.

The Google / NOAA Marine Chart tool is here.
