'Round Guemes Island

The switch from night race to day race seemed to appease the wind gods, almost too much. Light Easterly @ the start Pangaea looked like she was first across. Current swept fleet along through Guemes Channel. As we turned North the wind went light and boats had to fight to stay along the beach. A great tacking battle ensued up the West shore until another equalizer @ the North end. Pangaea, KK and Team Handyman caught a threatening breeze from the North as the rest of the fleet flew shy kites out towards Jack Island. The best breeze of the day came on for a short time to send the fleet through the tacticians challenge zone...... inside Huckleberry or not? Padilla Bay parking lot came and went and most boats were done by 1530.
