Burn Baby Burn

Steve Orsini and crew continued their winning ways aboard the Santana 20 Inferno at the Seattle NOOD Regatta @ Shilshole this weekend. Yes they wore clothes... NOOD is National Offshore One Design Regatta and there are about a dozen held around the US each year. At each regatta a boat is chosen and they receive a trip to the Carribean to compete in a championship regatta there, Steve has won this honor before. Also competing for AYC were Ian and Joy Sloan in a Formula 18 catamaran and Stephanie sailed on a SB-3 in open sportboat. In other news Passepartout skippered by Pete Shainin with our Commodore Ed Kennedy, Clay Adams and Mark Novak placed second in their division in the Oregon Offshore race from Astoria to Victoria. A hearty congratulations to all !!!! Rumor has it our upcoming June 12/13 Windermere Regatta and June 19-20th Girls/ Singlehanded Regatta are creating some buzz around the chilled beverages. Time to make some plans to to do a bit of yacht racing!
