Thank Heavens Racing and Spring are Here!

I know it's only two decent days but it's May 2nd so we gotta call it spring if we wanna make room for summer!

On the homefront the bad boys on Emoyeni were the victors/only boat to finish the weekend race to Sucia. I watched the start and although my face shield was dusted with bottom paint it looked like a nice day for waterskiing or bowling, not a bad effort for a comfy 30' cruiser. In any case many reports of good times around the campfire and people sleeping in!

The Big Blue Show extended her winning streak with a victory in the Seattle Yacht Club's Protection Island Race. With the fleet grouped up off .Wilson she was able to leg out to an 8 minute winning margin and finish before midnight.  You can get pictures & the story here...

This Wednesday features everyones favorite chef Walt Meagher and Scott Soes on RC duty. There was certain new boat out on the water Sunday - better have a snake bite kit aboard.  Split Arrow should have her mast in a vertical position today, Heron is sporting new rags, Grafix and Mikey are due to continue where they left off last fall, Handyman has work to do to renew her "Pride of the Elks" title, Kymodoce is airing out the 180, D fleet is due for the first competitor.

(NOTE: D fleet is open to all comers, need not be a AYC member for first year. Simply show us your insurance and sign a waiver. Call Andy for details 360 770 7035)

Sail fast, live slow.....
