A Frightening end to the Sailing Season
Mark your calendar for October 19th. Racing begins at 1pm on the familiar waters of Fidalgo Bay. This is strictly a day for fun for you and your crew. Typically we race around Huckleberry or maybe out Guemes Channel let's see which way the wind is blowing. The doors of good 'ol AYC open at 5pm, careful of that red wine on the new carpet! Year end awards begin promptly at 1800. Even if your yacht and sails are stowed for the season come join the fun. Every yacht that registered and participated in the 2013 racing season will take home something, so save the club the postage and enjoy a cup of cheer. Steph has prepared a slide show and music featuring your boat with photos by Roger. As the party at AYC winds down the spooky fun is just winding up. This the 5th Annual Haunted Warehouse at The POA Transit Shed located at the North end of Commercial Avenue. This ghoulish gathering is a fund raiser for the AYC Pirate Camp! BTW it also benefits the Cancer Care Cinic at Island Hospital and the local Amphitheater Restoration project. Check out the posters located around town for details or just google it for all the details.... Live music by the best dance band in the county, beer donated by Pizza Factory, Wheelhouse, and Dad's Diner, Tasty vittles, silent auction, dance and costume contests, all this and you're supporting three fine charities at the same time!
