Double Handed Fun

Anacortes Racers! In case you missed the email I'm blogging it too: this week we are celebrating double-handed racing with a fun race on Wednesday night.  If you haven't tried double-handing in a race, you should, and Wednesday is the perfect opportunity.  There will be a special prize for the best sailed double-handed boat on the evening.  For those that aren't feeling the challenge, please come out and enjoy racing in Fidalgo Bay with as much crew as you can muster.

The chalk talk for the week has been postponed as I am hoping Anacortes' own Andy Schwenk will give a presentation on his most recent adventure once he returns.  Andy is currently sailing on Blade Runner across the Pacific Ocean en route to Hawaii in the Pac Cup Yacht Race.  The guys have an amazing blog going, so enjoy their adventure at:  http://www.sailblogs.com/member/bladerunner/

We have another boat full of Anacortesians headed to Hawaii as well;  Passepartout is currently competing in the Vic Maui International Yacht race and is 1000 miles out from Maui with Pete Shainin and crew rapidly approaching.  Check out the race tracker at:

I apologize for the late notice on the lack of chalk talk, but look forward to seeing you all on the water and back at the club on Wednesday evening.
