Ahoy sailors of AYC! This Friday, The Northern Century, the biggest regatta of the year starts off the tanker dock when Colin Emsley aboard his lovely new lobster style cruiser the "Deanna J" fires the cannon. This is the 10th edition of this brutal challenge. As of today just two AYC boats have stepped up to meet the challenges of the Salish Sea. Boats from 70' down to a diminutive 24' are arriving at our friendly little club Friday night for a hearty meatball sandwich and a cup of grog before shoving off on this adventure. C'mon now you KNOW you want to be there. Please get registered so my Italian grandmother knows how many balls need rolling! Registration is open
The annual Northern Century race is a 100 mile excursion through the San Juan Islands. Read about it here.
AYC, C of C & POA
