AYC Ukuleles & Music Group
Calling all AYC musicians and singers! There are several club members that play ukulele, guitar and other string instruments. Wouldn't it be fun to have some musical entertainment on Friday evenings at the club? Ginger Orsini has a book of sea shanties. We'll pick a few to learn and then perform on a Friday night in October. Practices will be held weekly at 11:00am on Wednesdays, starting September 6th. Please stop by to join in the fun.
Port of Anacortes Commissioners Candidate Forum
On September 12th (Tuesday morning) 10am - 11am, the Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with AYC, is sponsoring a Port Of Anacortes Commissioners candidate forum. AYC club members are invited to attend. If you wish to ask questions or raise issues with the POA commissioners (and candidates) then please plan on attending this event at AYC. Questions from the public are welcomed and may be submitted in advance to the Chamber of Commerce, Amanda Hubik at firstname.lastname@example.org. More details as they become available from the chamber.
September General Meeting & Salmon Dinner
AYC members! On September 8, 2017 we will have our annual salmon barbeque that will feature garlic-citrus poached sockeye salmon, baked potatoes with butter, sour cream and chives, Cole Slaw, a fancy green salad and barbequed oysters! This is also a General Meeting and we will have a representative from the Skagit County Museum in LaConner come and deliver a presentation about life for the early settlers in the Skagit Valley. This should be an interesting evening with a tasty dinner! Sign up for dinner here.
